The first round of the 2007 V8 Supercars season returned after a much anticipated break. Fans were revved up as the adrenalin charged motor sport sped through the city of Adelaide over four massive days.

The Chrysler Group display was, as always a hit with the fans thanks to the 6.1L 317KW Chrysler 300C SRT8 and the Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8 being shown off for fans to explore and discover. Further generating exposure to our stand were the WPS race team drivers Jason Bargwanna and Max Wilson appearing for daily autograph signings and photos.

The WPS safety car was the “leader of the V8 Supercar pack” and displayed enormous exposure for our brand with the new SRT8 version of the 300C Sedan and Touring as it was required on the track a few times during the main race on Sunday. Also adding to the excitement of the event was daily air shows, which had patrons on edge as F/A18s screamed and soared through the air with their deafening roar.

Four free concerts over the event rocked up the race track to close each day’s events with an all Australian star line up including Rouge Traders, Thirsty Merc, Evermore, Eskimo Joe, John Stevens, You Am I, The Black Sorrows, End of Fashion, and Lee Kernaghan with Steve Forde and The Flange.

The Clipsal 500 is known to be the year’s best V8 round and with the high attendance, huge excitement from fans and exhilarating motor sport action, this year exceeded performances of previous years.
